A new article entitled Possibilities of Enhanced External Counterpulsation Using in Clinical Practice authored by ZA Mamieva, AS Lishuta, YE Belenkov, EV Privlova, AO Yusupova SM Rykova, and IM Sechenov from the First Moscow State University, Trubtskaya in Moscow, Russia was published this month in the Rational Pharacotherapy in Cardiology 2017. The article, which discusses the possibilities and prospects for the clinical use of EECP therapy based upon the historical background, developmental stages, and well known evidence of its use in coronary heart disease (CHD) and congestive heart failure (CHF), delves further into the effect of EECP on endothelial function and coronary reserve. It goes further than these most studied uses in medical practice and includes the prospects for EECP application in other areas of medicine. The following Figures are included in the article.
