The new International Cardiology EECP/ECP Society (ICE.S) was launched today in India. Dr. Subramanian Ramasamy, CEO of Vasomeditech and Heal Your Heart EECP Treatment launched the society in Chennai, India. Among the many listed goals in the new Society’s Mission & Vision statement is its first goals, which is to advance the scientific knowledge and promote active research in the field of Non-Invasive Enhanced External Counter Pulsation/External Counter Pulsation in the area of cardiovascular disease. In his President’s Message Dr. Ramasamy recounts his twenty-year history working with Dr. John Hui, an early student and pioneer of EECP therapy in the U.S. and China during the period of the 1970s to 1995 and Dr. Joseph Tartaglia, a visionary cardiologist who opened the first commercial EECP center at United Hospital in Portchester, NY in 1995. Heal Your Heart EECP centers in India have contributed to the compendium of research as Dr. Ramasamy continued to work closely with Drs. Hui and Lawson over the years.
Dr. Ramasamy has been an active member in the International EECP/ECP Society (IEECPS) since its inception in 2013. Most recently launching the IEECPS/Heal Your Heart Clinical Training Program, which is dedicated to increasing the availability of qualified international trainers so that EECP/ECP physicians around the world can achieve optimum clinical outcomes for their patients in their centers of excellence.
The International EECP/ECP Society and the International Cardiology EECP/ECP Society are affiliated organization working towards the growth of EECP/ECP therapy throughout the world.
