Enhanced External Counterpulsation Efficacy on Exercise Endurance in COPD Patients and Healthy Subjects: A Pilot Randomized Clinical Trial

An original research entitled “ Enhanced External Counterpulsation Efficacy on Exercise Endurance in COPD Patients and Healthy Subjects: A Pilot Randomized Clinical Trial” has been published in the  International Journal of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. The study by authors Zhao M, Huang Y, Li L, Zhou L, Wu Z, Liu Y, Zhang H, Hu C aimed to explore the effect of EECP on exercise endurance of healthy people and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients and provide intervention measures to improve their physical condition. Their conclusion that “EECP significantly improved the exercise endurance of normal adults, low endurance adults, and COPD patients” is important information for physicians considering EECP therapy for their patients.
