EECP Therapy Relieves Patient Suffering and Improves Quality of Life in Indonesian Study

Researchers at the Royal Prima Wellness Center Hospital in Indonesia have just had their study entitled ”The Effectiveness of Enhanced External Counterpulsation (EECP) Therapy for Heart Disease Patients”, published in the Proceedings of the International Conference on Health Infomatics, Medical, Biological Engineering, and Pharmaceutical.

The authors, Johannes Bastira Ginting and M.K. M. Okta Jaya reported that their qualitative study, which included interview scripts, field notes, personal documents, memo notes rather than data in the form of numbers, portrayed the empirical reality behind the phenomenon in-depth, detail and complete.

The paper concludes that patients reported a significant lessening (87%) or elimination of chest pain and all patients stated an improved quality of life, characterized by an increase in physical activity.
